You play as Legacy, a strong lord or lady trying to maintain peace among the lands. However, Legacy has a dark secret; their heritage was all a lie, and they were born to the Dark Emperor. When they discover this revelation, Legacy decides to go on a rather short (11 chapters) quest, recruiting many allies in hopes of accomplishing their mission. This mission you may ask? To save the world, and rescue the princess from the clutches of the Dark Emperor, as well as to find the Fire Emblem itself. This all culminates in the final battle against Legacy's brainwashed sibling, who was captured by the Dark Emperor, and consumed dark energy to become a ferocious dark beast. After it's all said and done, Legacy rejects nobility, but becomes a protector to the poor and young in their home village.
